Duke-Margolis will host a virtual public convening on Thursday, March 28, 2024, where speakers will expand on the discussion that began in the July 2023 public meeting titled, “Advancing Representative Enrollment in Clinical Trials.” Expert speakers across this interdisciplinary field will highlight collaborative goals among stakeholders that aim to increase representativeness in clinical trials. Additionally, these experts will engage the audience in interactive sessions on the best ways to build a sustainable foundation for community engagement; discuss the funding needs, incentives, and business case for increasing representativeness; and highlight the necessary considerations for the successful scaling of innovative trial infrastructures.

During this event, speakers and attendees will:

  • Identify critical goals where collaboration among stakeholders can increase representativeness in clinical trials
  • Establish a robust framework for long-term community engagement.
  • Explore sustainable funding and business models, to incentivize trial representation
  • Discuss necessary considerations for the successful scaling of innovative trial infrastructures to enable increased trial access and more representative enrollment
