Accountable care—centered on personalized, coordinated, and whole-person care—is no longer the vision for the future of the American Health system: it is here, now. Today, more than half of Traditional Medicare beneficiaries are in accountable relationships, and more than half of all Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled in Advantage plans. Of those plans, nearly 40% of members are in advanced accountable relationships, and that number is quickly rising. This rapid shift, enabled by CMMI’s bold new visions—prioritizing prevention, empowerment, competition, and technology-enabled care— signals that the next wave of transformation is here.

To meet this moment, the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy and West Health are excited to expand their long-standing partnership with the launch of the West Health Accelerator at Duke-Margolis. Building on years of work, this initiative will unite patients, providers, payers, states, and federal leaders to accelerate reforms that make coordinated, outcomes-driven care the national standard. The event is open to the public and will feature panels with top health policy experts and leaders. Join us as we outline the vision and priorities for accountable care reform and chart a path toward delivering better health and better care for all.

This conference is supported by a collaborative initiative between the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy and West Health to advance and accelerate value-based care in the US health care system.
