Faculty Network

The Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy welcomes faculty interest from across Duke University.  We have two faculty membership levels: Duke-Margolis Core Faculty Member and Duke-Margolis Affiliated Faculty.

Duke-Margolis Core Faculty Member

Definition: Duke faculty who are actively contributing to the various research, educational, and policy activities of the Center.

Criteria:

  • Prior/simultaneous faculty appointment at Duke
  • Demonstrated interest in Health Policy
  • Participation in Margolis Seminar, center conferences and community activities
  • Advocacy for Duke-Margolis around and outside of Duke
  • Active contribution to the success of Duke-Margolis through participation in research, education, or policy initiatives

Resources:

  • Access to conference meeting facilities and support in Durham, NC & Washington, DC
  • Access to touch-down office space in Durham, NC and Washington, DC
  • Grant preparation and management support
  • Communications and dissemination support
  • Invitations to public sponsored events and seminars
  • Access to established professional memberships of the summer
  • Participation in summer internship program
  • Participation in development opportunities aligning with the Center's mission
  • Eligibility to apply fo faculty funding support
  • Eligibility to apply fo core research staff support for research aligning with priorities

Duke-Margolis Faculty Affiliate

Definition:  Duke faculty with a demonstrated interest in health policy who contribute to the mission and goals of the Center.

Criteria:

  • Prior/simultaneous faculty appointment at Duke
  • Demonstrated interest in Health Policy
  • Participation in Duke-Margolis research, education, or policy initiatives
  • Participation in Margolis Seminar, center conferences and community activities

  • Access to conference meeting facilities in Durham, NC and Washington, DC
  • Communications and dissemination support
  • Invitations to public sponsored events and seminars
  • Access to research collaboration opportunities
