Earnest Wang

Earnest Wang is a rising senior at the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Public Health and Economics. At Cal, Earnest researches at the Nicholas C. Petris Center, currently engaging in research surrounding pharmaceutical drug development and private equity acquisitions of healthcare firms. Earnest is also involved in neuroimaging research regarding neurodegenerative disorders at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, studying the role of enlarged perivascular spaces (ePVS) in patients with vascular dementia. He is interested in issues regarding health care accessibility, delivery, and quality. After graduating, Earnest hopes to pursue medicine and a graduate degree in healthcare management and administration. Through the Margolis Internship Program, Earnest hopes to gain a deeper understanding of health policy and apply this knowledge in medical field. This summer, Earnest will be researching the technology transfer process and strategies to promote better competition through policy
