Jared Park JD '27

Jared grew up in the heart of the Silicon Valley in Menlo Park, CA. He graduated from the University of Southern California, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience in 2021 and master’s degree in Health Administration in 2022. Before attending law school, he worked as a business analyst at Optum and as a project manager at Kaiser Permanente. At Optum, Jared built dashboards and financial models through Smartsheet and Microsoft Excel to track M&A data as the lead analyst within Optum’s Project Management Office in Southern California.  At Kaiser Permanente, Jared oversaw and implemented new clinic workflows to support cancer screening initiatives at KP’s Los Angeles Medical Center. During his 1L summer, he worked as a Legal Intern for Blue Shield of California, rotating through the organization’s corporate, litigation, government affairs, and compliance teams. Jared is also a board member of Duke’s Health Law Society. As a Law Student and Margolis Scholar, he hopes to learn more about health care antitrust law and develop a deeper understanding about clinical drug development and the pharmaceutical industry.
