Masters in Public Health
Kirk Williamson comes to Duke-Margolis from the National Governors Association. In this capacity, Kirk advised governors and their staff on a range of health policy priorities including prescription drug access and affordability, infectious diseases, opioids and substance use disorders, and Medicaid. Most recently, Kirk served on the NGA Internal COVID-19 Task Force, where he worked with the State Coronavirus Action Network for state leaders to connect on critical issues related to the pandemic response and served as a subject matter expert on public health approaches to guide gubernatorial decision-making. Kirk received his Masters of Public Health at the George Washington University and his Bachelor’s at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At Duke-Margolis, he will be an SRA in Medical Product Payment team in the DC office, working closely with Hemi Tewarson on the state portfolio.
