Manu Datta, Class of 2029, is an undergraduate student from Hillsborough, New Jersey, pursuing majors in Chemistry and Political Science with concentrations in Pharmacology and Political Economy, respectively. At Duke, Manu serves on the executive board of the Duke International Relations Association and as a Science Editor for The Lemur, where he helps communicate scientific research and developments to a broader audience. His academic interests lie at the intersection of science, law, and public policy, particularly in the areas of pharmaceuticals, healthcare regulation, and health equity. Through his studies and extracurricular involvement, Manu seeks to better understand how scientific innovation and policymaking can work together to improve health outcomes and access to care. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in pharmaceutical law while remaining closely involved in the health policy space.
