Reed Kenny

Reed Kenny is a rising senior at Duke University from Alexandria, Virginia. She is pursuing a dual degree in Public Policy and Global Health. Reed is a part of the Bass Connections research team that is working on developing recommendations for the state of North Carolina to implement the North Carolina Early Childhood Action Plan. This plan outlines ten goals for North Carolina to reach by 2025. Her team is currently working on goal seven which outlines how to implement statewide screening of social emotional health for young children in North Carolina. Additionally, her team will be working on the food security goal of the North Carolina Early Childhood Action Plan in order to outline current food security problems children in North Carolina face, and how to address these problems. Reed is very interested in health and child policy and would like to pursue health policy as a career path after her graduation from Duke.
