Improving Productivity in Pharmaceutical Research and Development: The Role of Clinical Pharmacology

July 20, 2016

This white paper explores strategies for a more robust application of clinical pharmacology in drug development and regulatory review. Duke-Margolis staff and a working group of experts provide an overview of the key opportunities stakeholders have to leverage clinical pharmacology tools to better inform early-stage industry decision making, reduce attrition of drugs in late-stage clinical trials, and further establish a robust body of pre-clinical and clinical evidence for promising therapies. It is based in part on a public conference and expert workshop held in 2015.
