In a comment published online in Lancet Global Health, Gavin Yamey and other participants in a workshop held at the National Academy of Medicine by the Duke Center for Policy Impact in Global Health and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (Oslo, Norway), experts recommend strengthening international cooperation and preparedness by financing public health capacity, including human and animal disease surveillance, and supporting global efforts to accelerate research and development of vaccines, drugs, and diagnostics for outbreak control, and to strengthen the global and regional outbreak preparedness and response system.  Read More
