Becca Sullenger, MD '26

Becca is a medical student at the Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Robertson Scholar, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management. She also holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Before beginning her medical studies, Becca was a research assistant at the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) in Washington D.C., where she worked with the Action Collaborative on Countering the U.S. Opioid Epidemic and on the Vital Directions for Health and Health Care policy initiative. Additionally, she developed policy strategies to improve patient access to linguistically and culturally sensitive care while working at the Massachusetts state-based insurance exchange. Her professional and research goals focus on advancing health equity at the intersection of clinical care and public health. As a Margolis Scholar in Medicine, she looks forward to collaborating with students and faculty from across disciplines to address our most significant public health challenges.
