Chelsea Swanson,  MPH, is joining Duke-Margolis as an Assistant Research Director and will serve as the Managing Director for the NC Integrated Care for Kids (NC InCK) Model. NC InCK is a federally-funded local care delivery and payment model aimed at improving the way children enrolled in NC Medicaid receive care and support services. Working with our faculty leadership, Rushina Cholera, Chelsea will help to develop and manage future work in child and family health policy.

Chelsea obtained her Master’s in Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied systems and behaviors that drive equitable health care access. Chelsea has worked across a variety of interdisciplinary teams, programs, and projects focused on improving access to and delivery of behavioral health care for families across North Carolina. Prior to joining Duke-Margolis, Chelsea served as a Program Director for the North Carolina Psychiatry Access Line (NC-PAL) Program and later as the Program Manager of Behavioral Health for the Duke Primary Care Network. Across these positions, Chelsea managed teams in the development, expansion, and evaluation of program objectives such as the delivery of behavioral health care in the primary care setting, network adequacy, workforce development, and community stakeholder engagement.
