Emma Clark

Emma Clark is a rising senior at UC Berkeley studying Cognitive Science and Data Science. She is incredibly passionate about the intersection of public health, technology, and neuroscience and exploring innovative approaches to understanding interactions among these fields. On campus, Emma is a Fung Fellow for public health and innovation, a publication writer for Neurotech@Berkeley, and a member of the Brain Exercise initiative. She collaborates with the Turner Lab at the George Washington University School of Medicine remotely as an undergraduate researcher investigating cognitive aging, Alzheimer’s Disease, and the impacts of brain injuries on health outcomes of former athletes. From these experiences, Emma continually learns the importance of interdisciplinary insight to successful problem solving, especially in the public health space. She hopes to apply her learning from the Margolis Internship Program to pursue a Master’s in Public Health and lead research focusing on community determinants of brain health. This summer, Emma will be working on projects related to value based purchasing.
