Joan Navarro

Joan (Jo-ann) Navarro is a graduate student at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy where she also attended for undergraduate. Joan majored in anthropology and minored in social and economic justice. Joan passionate about improving the quality and access to healthcare, especially for marginalized populations. She is most motivated by helping others and having a kind and sincere heart. For fun, Joan enjoys spending quality time with my friends and visiting the beach or mountains. In the future, although Joan loves learning about therapeutics, patient care, and the clinical side to pharmacy, she hopes to use her PharmD to advocate for patients and improve the healthcare system. This summer, Joan researched telemedicine and oncology care with a focus on health disparities and health/environment.
