Karina Vasudeva is a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a Morehead-Cain and Coca-Cola Scholar. She is pursuing a BA in English and Comparative Literature, as well as a BSPH degree in Health Policy and Management at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is interested in health policy, and is very passionate about topics related to health equity, disability justice, social determinants of health, and global health. Karina has worked as a research intern for the North Carolina Integrated Care of Kids Model (NC InCK) to support integration of housing services. She is also a member of the Bass Connections team working to fulfill the goals of the North Carolina Early Childhood Action Plan (NC ECAP). Upon graduation, Karina plans to pursue graduate studies in public health. This summer, Karina will studied social determinants of health through various projects with the Health Care Transformation work stream.
