Kartik Pejavara, BA '24
Kartik is an undergraduate junior studying Computer Science. He is particularly interested in improving health database systems for quality of care and the applications of quantitative techniques in driving policy impact. His earliest exposure to health policy was as a researcher for the Center for Policy Impact in Global Health, where he researched how tools published by globally recognized organizations could be used to help struggling countries improve COVID-19 vaccine rollout. As a Summer Fellow at the Alliance for Health Policy, he prepared materials for speaker events and conducted research for planning future events. He is also a Bass Connections researcher, where he worked on a project examining attitudes and behaviors regarding vaccine hesitancy. He is currently working on a project developing a machine learning-based mobile application to detect hemoglobin deficiency. After graduating, he plans to work in health- or bio-technology-based field.
