Lisvel Matos earned her ADN from Central Piedmont Community College (2012) in Charlotte, North Carolina. She began her career as a staff RN working with adolescents in a behavioral health facility while earning her BSN from University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2013). Lisvel pursued graduate studies with Duke University where she earned her MSN as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (2016) and her Post Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate (2019). Throughout her career she has worked in community-based settings as a provider and advocate for the Latinx community. Lisvel’s interests include access to care, quality of care, and to address the impact sociocultural factors have on Latinx Health outcomes.
