Ricky earned her MPH with a focus in health policy, law and ethics from the University of Virginia (UVa). Prior to Duke, she traveled to Iquitos, Peru to study the impact and sustainability of short-term volunteer medical clinics. She also worked with a contract research organization to bolster the enrollment of patients from disadvantaged backgrounds in clinical trials. Additionally, Ricky was a co-founder for the Health Equity, Law and Policy Research Lab as a vehicle for health policy research at UVa. Ricky is interested in developing systems-level policy interventions that promote health equity and reduce disparities.
