Samantha Smith, (MPP '23)
Samantha Smith is a Master of Public Policy candidate at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. Prior to coming to Duke, Samantha attended Georgetown University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management and Policy. Following graduation, Samantha worked on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Aide and Scheduler to a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives who serves on the House Ways and Means Committee. Most recently, Samantha worked in the Government Affairs division of a health IT company, where she consulted healthcare practices on federal and state regulations. Samantha’s interests include the role of federal and state governments in ensuring equitable healthcare access and regulation of public payer systems.
