Shamar Wilson

Shamar Wilson is a Chancellor's Carolina scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a BSPH degree in health policy and management at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Shaped by his clinical experiences in long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and state hospitals, he is passionate about optimizing and standardizing healthcare delivery. Upon graduation, Shamar aspires to work as a consultant with a specialized emphasis in healthcare and eventually return back to school to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Administration. This summer, he hopes to expand his knowledge on how health policy can enhance healthcare delivery and hopes to increase his professional network by immersing himself in the Duke-Margolis community. Shamar worked on the NC Health Care Transformation project.
