Degree

B.A, Class of 2018

Cameron Eck is a Master of Public Health Student in Health Policy at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina. He was born and raised in Durham, NC and received his Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in Community Health. Cameron first developed an interest in health policy while working in the Massachusetts Legislature and gained further experience in health policy development at the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission, where he worked on behavioral health integration research. A year of conducting clinical research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital gave him a window into many of the on-the-ground difficulties of healthcare delivery created by policy decisions. That experience prompted him to pursue his MPH degree to focus on care delivery innovation and value- based care. At Margolis he will be aiding in research on a hypertension reduction model of care and mobile technology deployment for chronic conditions.
