Catherine is a graduate student pursing her MPH in epidemiology at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. A recent graduate of Columbia University, Catherine is passionate about applying her interdisciplinary background in psychology, statistics, and human rights toward translational research and community health programming innovations. As part of her interest in applied research, Catherine is a member of the ASPIRE policy research team at Columbia University, investigating mental and sexual health outcomes of Syrian refugee women living in Jordan and identifying social determinants of mental health disparities among populations living in precarious situations. Catherine also has utilized her interest in applying newly-established healthcare and psychological frameworks toward the construction of effective healthcare transformation programming among sexual violence survivors and co-survivors, developing grant-funded and research-based programs to support this population. This summer, Catherine merged her interests in healthcare transformation, psychology, and statistics by investigating osteoporosis patient care navigation and healthcare access disparities.
