Jonathan Kwak, BA '27
Jonathan Kwak is an undergraduate student from Maryland majoring in Economics with a minor in Chemistry. He is a Woodman Scholar, working as a research assistant in the Economics Department by using econometric and statistical techniques to analyze trends in population health. He also contributes to health policy research, working with Dr. Frank Wharam at the Duke University School of Medicine and researchers in the Division of Health Policy and Insurance Research at the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute to analyze the impact of national drug policies on vulnerable populations. Ultimately, Jonathan hopes to become a practicing physician, addressing health concerns on an individual and direct basis, while continuing to research and be engaged with health policy. As a Margolis Scholar, he looks forward to meeting and learning from leaders in the American healthcare system.
