Lena Shadow

Lena Shadow is a member of the Sanford Master's of Public Policy Class of 2026, and originally from Houston, TX. Her specialization is women's social and health policy. Her past research and coursework have spanned topics including maternal mortality, gender-based violence, and reproductive health policy reform. In the future, she would like to pursue a career in monitoring and evaluation to ensure women's programs are sustainable, equitable, and effective. She believes women's policy necessitates a careful mix of quantitative and qualitative experiential data to ensure its success. She's excited to develop those skills, including R, Tableau, survey design, and survey implementation through her work with the Margolis Institute and their reproductive health policy projects this summer.
