Seth Kornbau is a medical student at Duke in the Primary Care Leadership Track. He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he majored in economics and minored in chemistry and history. Following graduation, Seth worked as a medical assistant in a primary care pediatrics office at UPMC in Pittsburgh. Seth plans to pursue a medical specialty that allows him to work with both adults and children, providing comprehensive care in a multitude of practice settings. He is interested in price transparency and home-based primary care. His research this year will focus on exploring how real-time benefit tools, which allow comparison of prescription drug prices at the time of prescription, have been rolled out by health care systems nationally to inform policy decisions.
